Find Contractors to Estimate Cost to Build an Addition or Do Any
Major/Minor Remodel

Findng a Reliable Contractor
There are three criteria I would use to help make
sure I am choosing a reliable contractor:
1. Length of time in business - There is a reason a company has stayed in business at least a few years. People
who are incompetent rarely last very long.
2. Ask if the owner is a member of a national contractors association. Competent contractors work hard at
bettering their organization. Membership in NARI -National Association of Remodelers
(www.Nari.org) or NAHB - National
Association of Home Builders - (www.NAHB.org) mean they are
interested in being better than they are now. Companies with these memberships are usually a cut or two
above the rest.
3. If they pass the test of the first two reasons then I would
ask them to put me in touch with customers of jobs they recently completed.
You won't go wrong with anyone you
choose.
Good luck,
